Donna Cherry

Vocal Teacher, Piano Teacher

Donna Cherry has a special passion for coaching students. She has taught voice from LA to New York and teaches skills to include vocal warm up, voice development for tone, range and health, mic technique for recording and live performance, onstage and entertaining skills and familiarity with a variety of styles and genres including pop, rock and musical theater. A testament to her skills is that fact that her students have performed on Broadway, television and in movies.

Her background includes:

  • Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at Juilliard

  • American Academy of Dramatic Arts

  • Former Miss California

  • Metropolitan Opera Apprentice Award winner

  • Comedy Store regular for 15 years

Ms. Donna has performed at large venues such as, Madison Square Garden, Universal Amphitheatre and London’s Wembley Arena. She has toured extensively with Barry Manilow and others who work with American Idol and The Voice. She has worked on Norwegian Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean, and off-Broadway and has received the Dramalogue Critics Award for her portrayal of “Fanny Brice” in Funny Girl. 
Ms. Cherry is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity Association appearing on Desperate Housewives, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Big Time Rush, Review on Comedy Central and the Fox Faith film, The Ultimate Gift, among others. With her voice being featured on various albums including some that are Grammy Award-winning, she has also voiced the title characters of Jay Jay the Jet Plane on PBS Kids as well as the Emmy-Award winning Tutenstein for Discovery Kids. Since 2009, she has performed regularly with the 3 Blonde Moms, a Broadway-style comedy show.
